This is Market You First. Market You First. It's time to learn to sell what you bring to the table, not what you're selling. This is Market You First. This is your host, Wes Wyatt. Hey, this is Wes Wyatt, and this is the Market You First podcast. When was the last time you looked at your LinkedIn profile? I mean, really looked at it. You know, I heard about a brilliant business consultant who hadn't updated their profile in two years. Now, what was their excuse? I'm too busy getting results for my clients. But here's the thing. While they were too busy doing great work, potential dream clients were scrolling right past their profile. So why does this matter? Now, your LinkedIn profile isn't just a digital resume. It is a 24-7 personal brand ambassador. While you're sleeping, meeting clients, or enjoying family time, decision makers are quietly checking out your LinkedIn, and they're making split decisions about whether to work with you or not, hire you, or connect with you. But here is the kicker. A huge potential of buyers will go through and check you out on LinkedIn before they ever reach out. So your profile isn't telling your story effectively if you're losing opportunities without even knowing it. So here are three key takeaways that are going to help you with this. First, transform your headline and stop just listing your job title. So instead of you, I guess, putting that you drive a forklift or whatever the case may be, say, I help your ideal client, whatever that is, achieve a specific result, whatever that is, through your unique approach. Okay, whatever that is. So, for example, I help small businesses double their revenue through stress-free marketing systems, all right? Now, the second thing is upgrade your visual board, okay? Your profile should be less than three years old, okay? Show you from your shoulders up, match your industry vibe, and add a banner image that showcases your expertise or includes your contact info. No generic blue backgrounds, a picture of your cat, you know, ocean. Make sure that you market you first. And three, feature your wins. If your about section should be a client success story. So share specific results. Say, I help 12 startups increase sales by averaging 156% back in 90 days. And then back it up with testimonials from your featured selection, or the testimonials in your featured section, that is. So, how do you market you first and make this personal? Remember, LinkedIn isn't about what you do. It's about how you help people and how you change their lives. So, a real estate agent shouldn't just list 15 years of experience. Instead, share, I've helped 200 first-time homebuyers find their dream homes under their budget. Make every word count by focusing on impact, not just tasks. So, here's your call to action. Take 15 minutes right now. Update your LinkedIn headline using the formula that I shared. And then, just that one change could dramatically increase your profile views and start attracting the right people to your personal brand. And hopefully this has helped you out. If it has, don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe. When you get done listening, go to weswyatt.com, scroll down to where you can put in your name and your email address, and subscribe to our emails. Okay, that'll get you on the insider list. That is my chat feature. I don't monitor that live, but I'll get back to you very promptly.
