This is Market You First. Market You First. It's time to learn to sell what you bring to the table, not what you're selling. This is Market You First. This is your host, Wes Wyatt. Hey everybody, this is Wes Wyatt and this is the Market You First podcast. You know that feeling when somebody asks you a question and you find yourself explaining the same thing for the 100th time? What if I told you that people could happily pay monthly to access that knowledge? You know, today we're gonna be unpackaging how to transform your expertise into a thriving membership site. So why does this matter? Whether you're a fitness coach that is sharing workout plans, a marketing consultant with proven strategies, or a crafting expert that is going to teach techniques, your knowledge is valuable. And a membership site isn't just another revenue stream, it's a way to scale your impact without trading more hours for dollars, which is what we all wanna do. So in today's digital economy, people are actively seeking communities where they can learn and grow. So here are three key takeaways that are gonna help you with that. Number one, start with your superpower. Identify one thing that people constantly ask you about, document your unique process or methodology, and create content that solves specific problems that your audience faces. Two, structure for success. Offer a mix of foundational content and monthly fresh material, clear, concise learning paths for different membership levels, and include live question and answer sessions to maintain engagement. And last but certainly not least, number three, build a community first and a platform second. So start with a small founding member group, focus on member wins and celebrations, and use the feedback to shape your content calendar. So how do you make this you? How do you market you first? Your membership site should reflect your unique personality and teaching style. Don't copy what others are doing. If you're naturally funny, inject your humor into your content. If you're data-driven, lead with analytics. Most members aren't buying just information, they're buying into you and your approach. So here's your call to action. Write down the top three questions that people always ask something about, okay? It doesn't matter what it is, it's your expertise, okay? So these are gonna be the foundations of your membership content. Then reach out to five potential members and ask what they'd want in a membership community. And that is gonna be where you're gonna get all this started. So if you have found any of this at all helpful, please don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe.
