This is Market U First. Market U First. It's time to learn to sell what you bring to the table, not what you're selling. This is Market U First. This is your host, Wes Wyatt. If you're like most people, when you're on X, you're going to feel more connected to brands that respond to your tweets. My name is Wes Wyatt, and today on the Market U First podcast, we're going to be exploring how your authentic voice, not your sales pitch, is the key to X or Twitter success. So let me show you why most people get it wrong on X, okay? Now, why does this matter? Whether you are a solopreneur, a consultant, or a side hustler, X isn't just another social media platform. It could be your digital handshake. So here is the thing. People aren't on X to get sold to. They're there to connect, learn, and engage, all right? And that is pretty much true of most platforms. But when you understand this shift in mindset, everything's going to change. You know, your followers don't care about your product updates or your service announcements. They care about you and the value that you bring to their feed. So here is three key takeaways that could help you with that. Number one, the 80-20 rule, okay? Now, what that is is that means that you share valuable insights 80% of the time and personal brand stuff 20% of the time. Write tweets or whatever they call Xs now that solve problems for your audience that they're facing, okay? So an example would be, check out my new consulting service. Here's how I help clients increase revenue by 50% using this one spreadsheet formula. Number two would be engagement threading, which is this. You know, you can go through and spend 30 minutes daily responding to others in your niche. And don't just like it. Add value to the conversations. Share your unique perspective or experience. This is going to build genuine connections and naturally grow your following. And last but not least, content batching systems, okay? So create 10 value-packed tweets or Xs, whatever it's called, and every Sunday for the week ahead, all right? And then what we want you to do is focus on your expertise. Make it personal, okay? Share your failures, your learnings, your victories. And use Xs scheduling feature to maintain consistency, all right? Now, how do you make this personal to market you first? Your X profile isn't a billboard. It's a digital personality. So let's flip the script. Instead of tweeting about what you sell, tweet about what you've learned. Are you a real estate agent? Don't tweet about your listings. Tweet about the emotional journey of a first-time home buyer. Share the questions they ask, their fears, their victories. That's how you're going to build trust and authority. And here is your call to action. Take 10 minutes right now to write three tweets and share valuable lessons from your professional journey. No selling, just pure value, okay? Post one today and then watch how different your engagement's going to feel. And if you have found any of this to be helpful, don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe. And then when you're done listening to the podcast, go to weswyatt.com, scroll down to where you can put your name and your email address in, and subscribe to our insider emails. I'll provide you with all the tips, tricks, and nuggets that I find. If you have questions, go to the bottom of weswyatt.com. On the bottom right, you're going to see a little thought bubble, and that is my chat feature. I don't monitor that live, but I'll get back to you very promptly.
