This is Market U First. Market U First. It's time to learn to sell what you bring to the table, not what you're selling. This is Market U First. This is your host, Wes Wyatt. Hey everybody, this is Wes Wyatt, and this is the Market U First podcast. Did you know that the average professional spends about 28% of their workday managing emails? Now, that's like throwing away 11 weeks of the year. And you may do less, you may do more, but here's the thing, your email habits aren't just about productivity. They're about a direct reflection of your personal brand. So when you take two to three days to respond to a client, what message does that send about you? Why does this matter? In today's digital age, your email management style is gonna be your brand's first impression. So think about it. Before a client meets you in person, before they see your website, they experience how you handle communication. Quick, organized responses is gonna show that you value their time and take their business seriously. So poor email management isn't just costing you time, it's costing you opportunities to showcase your professional value. So here are three key takeaways that are gonna help you with this. How about trying number one, the two, two, two rule. Check emails at two specific times daily, respond to anything under two minutes immediately, and move two plus day projects to your task management system. Number two, use a smart folder system. Create three main folders, action required, waiting for response, and archive. Use color coding for different clients or projects and set up automated rules to sort incoming mail. And last but certainly not least, number three, template revolution. Build a template library for common responses, personalize each template with unique details and include your brand voice in every response. And how do you market you first and make this personal? Your email system should reflect your unique work style. Are you a morning person? Schedule your deep email work then. Do you serve international clients? Set up automated responses that acknowledge different time zones. Your email signature, response times, and communication style are all opportunities to showcase what makes you different. Don't just manage emails, use them to strengthen your personal brand. And do me a favor, take 15 minutes right now, this is your call to action to create your first three email templates. Make them uniquely yours, add your personality, your brand voice, and your professional touch. You're gonna thank me. And if any of this has helped you think differently about email management, don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe.
